5 KEY PRINCIPLES

In 2013, Chloé was rushed to the ER due to congestive heart failure. She was told that she may not have much time left to live and that she would have to be on oxygen for the rest of her life. After having been misdiagnosed for five years by some of the most respected and acclaimed medical practitioners and institutions in NYC, she was finally diagnosed with severe Pulmonary Hypertension (PH). Misdiagnosis did not simply alter her life; it shook it to its core. However, the real story is not what happened as a result of the diagnosis; it's what happened afterward.

After being handed such a devastating diagnosis, Chloé (who sings with a paralyzed vocal cord and who sang with her oxygen tank, whom she affectionately refers to as Steve Martin, by her side), brought herself back to life despite being told that she only had a short time left to live.

In her presentation of her "Five Key Principles," she explains how she chose life over death and how she utilized her five key principles to bring herself back to health.

Through her music and story, Chloe’s mission is to reinstill a sense of hope in those that may have lost it, reminding people that the “impossible” can, in fact, become possible. Simultaneously, her goal is to continue to bring awareness to Pulmonary Hypertension (a disease for which life expectancy is 2.8 years without treatment) and, having received the life-saving gift of lungs, to the importance of organ donation.
