THE CHLOE TEMTCHINE

FOUNDATION

THE FOUNDATION

In 2019, Chloé launched The Chloé Temtchine Foundation (TCTF), a non-profit organization dedicated to using entertainment in an effort to inspire and empower people living with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and other life-threatening illnesses.

Funds raised through TCTF help support The Smile Tour and Super Brave Kids (a new brand that Chloé just launched, dedicated to empowering kids living with chronic illnesses). Funds raised from The Chloé Temtchine Foundation offset expenses for The Smile Tour and for Super Brave interviews that are not covered by sponsorships and grants.

THE MISSION

The Chloe Temtchine Foundation is dedicated to inspiring and empowering people living with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and other life-threatening illnesses, through entertainment. It endeavors to generate public awareness of PAH through advocacy, community outreach, and entertainment in the hopes that one day there will be a cure.

Funds raised through TCTF help support Super Brave Kids and The Smile Tour, a project which consists of Chloé traveling to leading hospitals across the United States to perform for pediatric patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and other chronic illnesses as well as for their families, friends, and hospital staff. Her goal is to impart hope and inspiration.

Super Brave Kids, one of its endeavors, involves interviews with kids from all over the world who are all living with chronic health conditions. These interviews empower these kids along with those watching and simultaneously generate public awareness of this rare disease.

THE HISTORY

When Chloé debuted Be Brave in 2014, the song became an immediate iTunes sensation. The lyrics resonated for so many people struggling with PAH and other chronic illnesses:

Well you can be brave
And you can stand tall
Wipe all your tears away
When they come

And you can be saved
When you lose it all
In all the darkness light is found
So don't let it drag you down

The Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) community immediately adopted Be Brave as its anthem, and pharmaceutical companies purchased over 150,000 copies to send to their clients. Chloé donated proceeds to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association to support its mission of finding a cure.

Within days of its release, Chloé’s email inbox was flooded with letters from fans eager to connect with her, to share their stories, and to seek advice. Chloé had a very special connection with one fan in particular, Humayra Bodhania, a beautiful eight-year-old girl with PH and a big, beautiful smile.

Humayra’s devastating and untimely death inspired Chloé to establish The Chloé Temtchine Foundation and to launch The Smile Tour.

Your tax-deductible gift to TCTF will help support the foundation’s mission of both bringing an end to PH (through advocacy, community outreach, and entertainment), and of empowering kids living with chronic illnesses.

You can help Chloé bring a smile to patients in hospitals struggling with PAH and other life-threatening illnesses, day after day, month after month, and year after year.

With greater awareness comes earlier diagnosis, and ultimately leads us one step closer to a cure.
